Safe Space Sheffield Welcomes Church Temple of Fun

Safe Space Sheffield was Started by Safe Space Bristol in reaction top the supreme court ruling. Safe spaces are hubs of safety in the city for trans+ people , places where we can exist in peace without having to be questioned or feeling unwelcome.

You can read our pledge here:

We said: “Here at Church Temple of Fun we pledge to be a safe and welcoming space for everyone within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

We strive to be an inclusive space for all customers as well as our own staff members.
We have in the past, and will continue to host LGBTQ+ events and support SayIt throughout Pride Month by donating a % of our takings.
We have and will continue to provide CPD accredited LQBTQ+ Awareness Training to staff to educate them to encourage our venue to be a safe space.
We are constantly working towards creating a venue where everyone feels welcome, is respected and can be their true self.”

We came in contact with Church through their hosting of a Love Kelham meeting which we were graciously invited to so we could spread the word of Safe Space Sheffield. We saw some familiar faces and made some new connections all at the same time, and it was genuinely wonderful to see Kelham’s small businesses coming together to support each other.
