HEAD OF CHURCH

We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to take responsibility
for the whole business, bringing energy, ideas and strong leadership while working with the owner to take Church into its next stage of growth.

You'll work with the owner to understand his vision and ideas for Church, then take ownership of turning them into reality, developing them, making decisions and driving them forward.  We're looking for someone who will also bring ideas of their own. Someone who sees opportunities, thinks creatively about growth and can turn good ideas into practical plans. You'll have overall responsibility for the whole Church operation, including front of house, bar, kitchen, marketing and events, leading the people responsible for each area and making sure everyone is working towards the same goals.
You'll have the freedom to make day-to-day decisions, develop ideas and try new things within agreed budgets.

You'll be responsible for:
• the overall day-to-day running of Church
• building, leading and motivating a strong team
• developing the food and drink offer alongside the relevant team
• driving revenue and increasing footfall
• overseeing marketing and growing Church's audience
• developing and delivering events
• growing weddings and private hire
• developing the potential of the Catacombs and other spaces
• understanding the numbers and making commercially sound decisions
• identifying new opportunities for growth
• developing ideas and putting together the case for investment where needed
• continually looking for ways to take Church to the next level

Church sits within Osborn Works, a creative environment bringing together fashion, design, printing, events, hospitality and music. We're looking for someone who sees the opportunities that creates. You'll build relationships with the other businesses and teams within Osborn Works, share ideas and look for opportunities to work together. Whether that's events, launches, collaborations, private hire or something none of us has thought of yet.

We want someone entrepreneurial and collaborative. Confident enough to lead and make decisions, but equally willing to listen, involve people and recognise a good idea wherever it comes from.

Who we're looking for:
We're more interested in the person than their CV or a conventional career path.
You might come from hospitality, events, venues, entertainment, retail or a creative business. What matters is that you're a strong leader with energy, ideas, common sense and commercial instinct. You're someone who takes responsibility, motivates the people around you and turns ideas into action.
